Synack’s Courageous Women CISO Initiative Connecting. Empowering. Securing. Together.

Synack’s Courageous Women CISO initiative was developed to bring female security leaders and executives together to support each other in having a bigger impact in their companies and industry. Women have so much to offer in an industry that is desperate to find effective solutions. We need to harness creativity and diversity of talent to beat the onslaught of challenges in cyber security. Yet we have a drought of women in senior positions and on the podium. Let's change that. Our goal is to create an environment that fosters authentic conversations and to provide a fun support network for women in cybersecurity.

“Throughout my career, I’ve seen diverse teams produce better results. At Synack we’ve found that women CISOs are 2x more likely to adopt crowdsourced security; these female security leaders are willing to be bold and courageous in the important decisions that make their organizations more secure. We want to encourage this inclination toward boldness and foster it by sharing our stories and exchanging ideas in an inclusive, encouraging environment. I believe there is exponential value in sharing success stories with other leaders.”
—Aisling MacRunnels, Chief Marketing Officer and Founding Member, Synack
